Forty Thieves vs Spider

Forty Thieves deals forty cards face up into ten columns, so there are no hidden cards. Columns build down in the same suit, you can only move the top card, and you pass through the stock only once. The eight foundations build up from Ace to King.

Spider also has ten columns, but you can put a card on any card one rank higher, whatever the suit. Only same-suit runs move together, and each full run from King to Ace is removed. The stock deals a card on every column, and you can choose one, two or four suits.
