Tips for Double Deck Pinochle
- Look for quadruple and triple melds before bidding high: quad pinochles (3,000 pts) and double runs (1,500 pts) can carry your contract on their own.
- Because heading the trick is mandatory on all suits, lead low cards when trying to pull higher cards from the opposing partnership.
- Save high trumps for late-hand control: winning the 20th trick awards 20 bonus points and can decide the entire contract.
