Double Deck Bid Euchre
A popular partnership trick-taking game played with 48 cards (two 24-card Euchre decks). Bid 1 to 12 tricks, lead bowers, and first card played beats duplicates.
How to play
4 players play in two fixed partnerships (0 & 2 vs 1 & 3) using a 48-card double deck (two copies of 9, 10, J, Q, K, A).
Each player receives 12 cards (12 tricks per hand).
When two identical cards are played to the same trick, the first one played beats the second.
Players bid in rotation from 1 to 12 tricks for the right to declare trump.
Right Bower (Jack of trump) and Left Bower (Jack of same color) are the highest trumps.
Making your bid scores tricks won; falling short loses the bid amount.
Defenders score 1 point per trick taken.
First team to reach the target score (default 52) wins the game.
About Double Deck Bid Euchre
Double Deck Bid Euchre is an American partnership trick-taking game played with two Euchre decks shuffled together (48 cards total, 9 through Ace in each suit). Four players bid how many tricks (1 to 12) their team will take, or call a high-stakes 24-point Pepper bid. The Jack of the trump suit (Right Bower) and the other Jack of the same color (Left Bower) are the two highest trumps. Because duplicate cards exist, when identical cards are played to the same trick, the first card played strictly beats the second. Teams score 1 point per trick bid, or 24 points on Pepper.

Tips for Double Deck Bid Euchre
- Remember that duplicate cards break ties in favor of the first card played, giving the leader an enormous advantage with duplicate Aces and Bowers.
- Bid aggressively when you hold multiple Bowers and side-suit Aces, but account for your partner contributing 2 to 3 tricks.
- Lead trump early to strip opponents of their Bowers so your partner's side-suit Kings and Queens can run freely.
