About Pitty Pat
Pitty Pat is a traditional Belizean matching and shedding game for two to four players played with a 52-card deck. Each player starts with five cards, and one card is turned face up to start the discard pile. On your turn, if you hold a card matching the upcard's rank, you must discard the matching card plus a second card of your choice from your hand. If you have no match, you must draw from the stock; if the drawn card matches the upcard, you can play it immediately with a second discard. The first player to shed all cards from their hand wins.

Tips for Pitty Pat
- Avoid discarding cards that share ranks with other cards in your hand; preserve pairs so you can match future upcards.
- Discard high-ranking singleton cards first to reduce your hand size and leave versatile low-value cards.
- Keep track of upcard ranks that opponents were forced to draw on, as they are unlikely to hold matching ranks.
Questions about Pitty Pat
How many people can play Pitty Pat?
Pitty Pat is played by between 2 and 4 players. Real players and bots can share a table, so a game can always start even if you do not have enough people.
Can I play Pitty Pat against the computer?
Yes. Pick easy, medium or hard bots and start straight away. Bots only use what a player in their seat could see, so they cannot peek at your cards.
Can I play Pitty Pat online with friends?
Yes. Create a private room and share its code, or join a quick match. If someone drops out mid-game, a bot takes over their seat.
